The point were you claim you don't understand how folk have been conned into expecting a better life if they vote Trump or Brexit just because they're white or hold the right passport.

Doesn't matter if its "entitlement" or "requirement", though I'll admit the former, as you suggest, is more current.

Do you mean the point where you admitted a couple a posts later that you'd used the wrong word. That sort of cornered?

Couldn't help yourself LOL.

"There are articles in the Guardian which I prefer you to find - it is a paper of public record -because I wish to compromise no one by specifically referring to their particular studies. I do not understand why this is a difficult subject."

Cos it's already "public record" in a newspaper you wally. Posting something already "public record" on WHO won't "compromise" anyone. Hahahahhaa you are seriously beyond words.

Didn't bother reading past that on your post so you wasted your time typing it. Gutted?

I said I wouldnt come back, but your idiocy, selective memory, and obsessive need to be right forces me to respond to you final post
So in summary:

1/ Stomper says that the new regime in the US, who I regard more and more each day as extreme right, are censoring scientists. That some of these people are my friends if not important to the main message.

2/ There are articles in the Guardian which I prefer you to find - it is a paper of public record -because I wish to compromise no one by specifically referring to their particular studies. I do not understand why this is a difficult subject.

3/ Following many attempts at simplifying an already simple subject, Stomper gets really frustrated. If I hurt anybodies feelings I sincerely apologize. I wish I'd never bought the subject up on tuesday, but I was very, very bored.

4/ Someone posts a link to a story published on tuesday. I say that, while it is related to the articles I was talking about, there is more of a story out there.

5/ Stomper refuses to discuss it further for 2 reasons. The scientists involved do not wish to talk about it any more through fear at what it may cost them (the Proclamation from the government being as vague and confusing as his ban on certain people from certain countries not being allowed in the country. Science is an international discipline, and many who work in the subject are long term residents rather than citizens

It was clear that the people I was talking to not only did not understand, but did not want to understand, for reasons only they can know and we can only guess at.

6/ I have at no point lied. There was a point when I said I did not remember saying "extreme right wing". Mim insisted I did.
During a long car journey, I scrolled through the bleedin thread and saw that Mim was right. I said so and apologized for my error in the next post.

7/ I wish I had never brought the subject up, even though I believe it to be very important, because I didnt realize I was talking to a pair of party drones, following their party line and demolishing all before them with facile, meaningless, irrelevant and spurious arguments.

Re: Screw the snowflakes and remoaners - Sign this
So in summary:

Stomper claims that the "extreme right" are censoring his friends.

Stomper refuses to elaborate on it, citing both the definition of censorship and some ominous threat, but tells us there's proof of it in the guardian, which he refuses to present

Following some scepticism are such contradictory claims being made, stomper gets all defensive and hostile and insults people who dare question his claims

Someone else posts a link from the guardian which seems on the surface to relate to stomper's tale, but doesn't talk about "extreme right censhorship"

Stomper comes back, tells us the story posted is nothing to do with his claims, and refuses to discuss it further.

Sorry stomps. But you could have avoided all of this by not lying in the first place.

Johnson 6:32 Thu Feb 2
Re: Screw the snowflakes and remoaners - Sign this
So they don't want their fight against censorship to be talked about?

You see the irony there I trust.

stomper 6:21 Thu Feb 2
Re: Screw the snowflakes and remoaners - Sign this
Apart from anything else I realized the calibre of bigot I was dealing with.
Obviously the Guardian article from 31st Jan was not the one I was referring to, because that was the day I was in the hospital. But it is linked with the issue.
I have no desire to discuss this further with you and some scientists have no desire for it to be talked about at all.
So thats all from me on this subject.

Lots of stuff from unnamed state-funded researchers objecting to the possibility of being made subject to the same scrutiny as any other recipient of tax-payers money.

I'm fucking outraged, me. It's a massive right-wing conspiracy.

mashed in maryland 9:37 Thu Feb 2
Re: Screw the snowflakes and remoaners - Sign this
You're fucked now RC. Any details what so ever on this "extreme right" conspiracy, including links to articles published by one of the world's best known British newspapers, are "not to be shared", especially not on westhamonline. Stomper said so. Be afraid.
